«¡Puedo decir lo que quiera! ¡Puedo hacer lo que quiera!»

Después de mucho tiempo puedo decir que ¡el libro ya está listo! Ha sido un proceso largo y duro en el que he ido arrastrando tristeza y frustración pero todo eso acabó y ahora es el momento de celebrar que ¡Puedo decir lo que quiera! ¡Puedo hacer lo que quiera! ya está entre nosotrxs.

¿Y qué encontraréis en ¡Puedo decir lo que quiera! ¡Puedo hacer lo que quiera!? Bueno, pues principalmente una historia del fanzine hecho por mujeres. Un intento de caracterización y genealogía. Y como es un intento y como es sólo una pieza (o unas pocas piezas) de un puzzle más grande tiene como subtítulo Una genealogía incompleta del fanzine hecho por chicas.

El libro se divide en tres partes en las que hago en primer lugar de un contexto general del fanzine; después repaso el papel que las mujeres jóvenes han tenido en la subcultura y cómo esto ha sentado las bases para la producción de fanzines hechos por chicas; y por último trato lo que es el fanzine hecho por mujeres, hago una caracterización de estas publicaciones, apunto antecedentes generales y ahondo en lo que yo llamo la genealogía incompleta, que consiste en señalar algunos hitos que considero que han sido importantes para la historia del fanzine hecho por chicas en el Estado español.

No está todo. Faltan cienes, miles de nombres, de personas, de fanzines, de acontecimientos... Pero no he pretendido recogerlo todo sino un poco, así, para empezar.

El libro es una autoedición, así que es sencillo y pequeño. La tirada que he hecho también es pequeña lo mismo que la distribución. No llegará a todos los lugares del planeta ni estará en todas las librerías (a lo mejor no llega a estar ni en una sola) pero estoy convencida de que llegará a quien necesite que le llegue.

After a long time, I can finally announce that... the book is ready! It's been a long and hard, filled with sadness and frustration, but it is all over now and it's time to celebrate that ¡Puedo decir lo que quiera! ¡Puedo hacer lo que quiera! is finally here.

So what can you expect to find in the book? Basically a history of fanzines made by women in Spain. An attempt to build a descriptive genealogy, Since it is an attempt and only a piece (or some few pieces) of a bigger puzzle, it bears the undertitle Una genealogía incompleta del fanzine hecho por chicas.

The book is divided into three sections. The fist one describes the general context of fanzines. The second one reviews the role young women have had in subculture and how that has laid the basis for the production of zines by girls. In the final part, I write about zines made by women, I make a taxonomy of this kind of publications, note some general precedentes and I delve into what I call the incomplete genealogy, in other words, I mention some landmarks that I find important in the history of zines made by women in Spain.

The book doesn't cover everything. There are hundreds, thousands of names, people, zines, events that are missing. I didn't mean to write about everything, but rather about some things, to begin with.

The book is self-published, so it's small and simple. The print run is short, and the distribution is limited. It won't reach every nook and cranny in the world, and it won't be available in every bookshop (it might not even be available in a single one), but I'm sure it will reach whomever needs to have it.
